Abstract
Evidence Based Vs Clinical Trials of Orthodontic Aligners 22 years of Experience
by Gonzalez Balut Mauricio
Due to the outcome and marketing of using clear aligners to correct different orthodontic problems that involve the correction of dental crowding as well as malocclusions, we consider the Evidence-Based option and solution of "Hybrid treatments" by combining the use of brackets and aligners. After 20 years of experience, we will provide different clinical techniques to prepare surgical cases for patients with several dento-skeletal discrepancies, utilizing both brackets and aligners, with simplified biomechanics to minimize complications. Clear aligners companies have spent millions of dollars in marketing aligners not only among Orthodontists, but also among, general dentists and other dental specialties, as well as to the general public. We consider the Evidence-Based oof "Hybrid treatments" combining the use of brackets and aligners, and also by understanding the limitations of aligners, during the inexperience that I had over the last 22 years of experience, with the understanding that aligners are part of the Orthodontists "armamentarium" to provide our health care service.
